These little cookies are very traditional cookies, but never go out of style. They are easy and fun to make, and taste so delicious you will want to make them time and time again!
The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is so delicious, and kids and adults alike love these. This recipe makes up a nice big batch of cookies, and they store and keep really well afterwards also.
They are called blossoms because the cookie takes on a blossom effect when the Hershey’s Kiss is pushed down into the middle of the cookie!
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup (packed) light brown sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Hershey’s Kisses milk chocolates, unwrapped
Heat oven to 375F.
In a large bowl, beat together 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, butter and the egg, either by hand or in an electric mixer or food processor. Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, and baking powder until a dough forms.
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll the balls into some additional granulated sugar to coat. Place the balls on an ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are a light golden brown. Immediately on taking them out of the oven, press 1 Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie, then move the cookies onto a cooling rack.
