The Cons of Procreate

Even the most amazing things have cons too!  It wouldn’t be fair to not address the possible cons to embarking on learning to draw with Procreate:

  1. You need to purchase an iPad and stylus such as an Apple Pencil in order to use Procreate.  But it is a one-time purchase, and presumably you will use the iPad for other things also!
  2. You need to learn how to use Procreate, so you will need to invest some time learning how to use it.  But there are a lot of classes that can teach you the ins and outs of Procreate
  3. It doesn’t have a really wide screen to work on – it is just the iPad screen.  To be honest this is way more than enough. But if you need a bigger workspace for larger projects you may want to consider using Adobe
Photoshop or Illustrator on a computer instead.
